Celtic American Saddlebreds; Breeding quality Saddlebreds since 1994

About Us

My name is Katrina, i was introduced to the Saddlebreds by my a previous partner who owned "Beau Gallant Park Phoenix' he was the most gentle and wonderful chestnut stallion with the nicest temperament and ever since meeting this magnificent stallion i have been drawn to this breed. Shortly after i purchased 3 of my own Saddlebreds from a lady in Canberra, "Kobada's Rhapsody in Bay" (bay stallion), "Kobada's midnight Flash" (bay mare), "Kobada's Night Rose" (bay mare). These three horses were the start of my obsession with this glorious breed.

From this point my previous partner and i enduranced both stallions successfully around the NSW endurance circuit for a couple of years and then started a breeding program with our mares.

Eventually in !997 i ventured off on my own with my stallion "Kobada's Rhapsody in Bay" (Raps) and one purebred mare "Kobada's Night Rose" and eventually got my Daughters mare "Spindlevale Child's Play" (dotty) out of " Kobada's Midnight Flash" by "Beau Gallant Parks Phoenix", this horse in particular is the only purebred mare in Australia by her sire.

Sadly in 2000 I had to sell my beautiful stallion due to myself not having anywhere to keep him, he went to a lovely lady in Sydney and then found a lovely home running with his own herd of mares on acreage

"Kobada's Night Rose" (Rosie) was sold to a lady in the millfield area, before i sold her she delivered me a beautiful buckskin filly " Celtic Sugar 'n' Spice" ( candy) sired by "suttons Anacacho Prince".

Times change and i had to sell all my horses bar from my beautiful little chestnut mare "dotty", but in 2006 i was finally in a position to re-establish my stud again,  i had dotty and amazingly i purchased back "Celtic Sugar 'n' Spice" from christiane at Narrawin Stud in Victoria. Candy came back to me infoal to "Sovran's Midnight Express" who put a stunning filly on the grond 12/12/2007, i was now on the hunt for a stud colt as i had the mares but no stallion. I came along this beautiful bay pinto colt, the most stunning colt i had seen in a long time another bonus was him being from imported bloodlines so not related to any of my mares. Subsequently between myself and Lise graber of DeadWood Farm, Victoria i sold my filly to her and she sold me the glorious "DWF's Mr Bou Jangles".

Through out the years we had re-purchased both "Kobada's Rhapsody in Bay" and my daughter purchased "Kobadas Night Rose" along with a few other mares including "Wildmoor's Romantic Charm" and "Tarquins Anacacho Fantasy" and have bred a very good group of foals.
